Day Trip on Amtrak - Race Through Glenwood Springs

Can you really pull off a same-day Amtrak trip through the Rockies?

In this video, I board Amtrak’s California Zephyr in Provo, Utah and take a day trip to Glenwood Springs, Colorado — riding one of the most scenic train routes in the United States. The plan is simple: enjoy the journey, make it to Glenwood Springs, take photos of the city from the top of Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, and catch the train back home the very same day.

Of course, with Amtrak, timing is never guaranteed. Delays are part of the experience, and planning a tight turnaround adds an extra layer of uncertainty to an otherwise calm, observational journey through Utah canyons and the Colorado Rockies.
